Remote access for NV1104E?

Post by brichi »

Hey Guys, I just received the NV1104e with 4POE cameras. I was wondering if remote access works with this unit? I watched the videos and setup port forwarding correctly but in the Amcrest surveillance software the connection is failing and it doesn't make sense that I do p2p like the video says and just enter the SN of a camera so im a little lost, any help would be appreciated,,, thanks!

It's not clear what you are trying to do. If your NVR is attached to one router, and your PC with Surveillance Pro is on another router remotely located, then try this.

Do not set up any port forwarding.
Using your NVR console interface, Enable P2P setting on the NVR.
Then in Surveillance Pro, go to Devices, click add device and use the NVR serial # (P2P) method.
The NVR and Surveillance Pro should then both be communicating with an Amcrest P2P server on the internet to get the connection made, and you should be able to access your cameras.

You can read about it here:
See page 54 for enabling P2P on NVR and page 55 if you would like to use an android/ios device to access your NVR.
