Regarding two cameras, both IP2M-841B.
I have two cameras set up. Yesterday one of the cameras began slowing down considerably. The time in the top right corner showed recording gaps of seconds; i.e., instead of showing in 1-second increments, it would be erratic, with gaps of 4 to 6 seconds. Playback is excrutiatingly slow: it takes about 5 seconds to show 1 second of video. A car passing by at 15 mph actually appears to be parked, it's that slow. Now the second camera is beginning to act the same way.
My internet connection speed is good, wifi connection is about 73%. I restarted the computer, I hard reset the camera and reconfigured it again, but it's acting the same way.
What might be going on? Could there be a conflict with both cameras using port 80, and tcp both at 37777?
Thank you.
Recording and Playback Slowdown
Re: Recording and Playback Slowdown
Hello ksp02,
It appears that the wifi signals the cameras receive is not strong enough. Do you have this issue in live view as well or only with the play back?

Re: Recording and Playback Slowdown
Thanks for responding, Melvin. Yes, both live view and playback now. Wifi signal quality for one shows 99%, the other shows 85%.

Hello ksp02 ,
Check if it works fluently in sub stream. If so you can try lowering the resolution and bit rate for the camera under video settings to see if that helps.

Re: Recording and Playback Slowdown
Hi Melvin,
Thanks. I tried those suggestions, but it made no difference. One camera is working fine for now, but I'm still having trouble with the other. I've reset my router, modem, restarted the computer, etc., got a refresh signal from Comcast but nothing has made a difference.
Does having both cameras on the same TCP Port (37777) and HTTP Port (80) cause a slowdown?
Thank you.

Hello ksp02 ,
No the port does not make any difference in this issue I believe. You could try moving the camera closer to router and hard wire it to router and see if that makes any difference. Trying a hard reset on it would be a final option to see if that helps. It could also be a camera defect sometimes.
