Hey experts!
I have two IP2M-841W. I notice that when it records videos, it loses seconds.
The two cameras are side by side. Just now a car passed by.
Camera A: The time jumps from 12:46:44AM to 12:46:50AM. https://goo.gl/photos/r8RKgb9S57uPyK7M6
Camera B: The time jumps from 12:46:48AM to 12:46:52AM. https://goo.gl/photos/cvTZcEZzik74mALPA
This results in the fact that the car passing by both of them is completely missed.
Can you help me understand what's up with this and what I can do to fix this?
Recorded videos have time jumps! Why?
Re: Recorded videos have time jumps! Why?
I've found the only way to get reliable constant recordings is to keep my camera connected by ethernet. Wi-Fi works OK but stutters sometimes appearing to hang for anything 15 to 30 seconds. I got my first camera exchanged after spending a long online support session connected to Amcrest support. It's not critical for me as to be honest it's just a toy. If I was serious about havng a security camera I would only consider hard wired of some sort.
My AMCREST Cameras:-

But these videos are being recorded to the SD card - so it has nothing to do with the network.
Amcrest Tech support asked me to try hard resetting. I did. The problem was not resolved.

Hello, I just read this post.
Are you still having the same issue?
If not, what did you do to solve the issue?
