I only want to record motion that occurs.
Right now it seems to just be recording. Do I need to change (Storage>Schedule) Recording to off and Snapshot set with a schedule? I don't think I need to record like that and i'm a little confused on the terminology.

Under storage > Schedule you can set up the schedule to only record motion if that is what you want. You need to click on settings and uncheck general and alarm options and just tick the 'motion option'. You also should have the video detect enabled for this.

Finally figured it out. Thank you for the reply though. Now if I can get the firmware update to not fail.
