Record on different channel same time?
Record on different channel same time?
I don't know if I'm searching the right term or not? I would like to have camera 2 start recording if camera 1 detects something. Working with IP8M-2796EW-AI (these are two Id like to do this with). But I also run these

Are you using a NVR or you just asking about camera to camera?

Re: Record on different channel same time?
Yes using an NVR, cameras plugged into a PoE switch.
Re: Record on different channel same time?
Ok Well in the NVR under the event type your using. Seeing you didn't say if it is a AI NVR or normal so I will just say event type. There will be a Record button, in that area you will choose the cameras you want to record. So for me I have a few that I have setup to work on my IVS rules, I have a Static Camera that gets a Trigger on a Tripwire and it tells my non AI camera to go to a Preset and Record...
What NVR are you using?

Re: Record on different channel same time?
Yes sorry it is an AI NVR... NV4216-AI
The two cameras I want to work together are the AI type I do have the IVS set up on them (using tripwire)
I appreciate your responses!!

Re: Record on different channel same time?
Yes that is the area you want. Sorry my heater just blew up on me so I might be away from computer for a little while. -15 today Real feel Wind Chill and up 19 from yesterday and today the Furnace decides to blow up..
So yeah if you are on Ch1 and want ch3 to record then in that area of Record will be 1 and 3. Then moving to IVS of say rule 2 and want 1 and 2 to record if that one is triggered.. then on your 3rd maybe only want 1 to record then 1 would be only one in there.. Just make sure that you save in all parts of the settings because if that IVS area is still high lite it won't update to what you want until all windows are saved (Apply) again if the line is blue on the event type then it still need to have that last Apply pressed for the changes to take effect

Re: Record on different channel same time?
So I will post this really fast, What I mean is looking at this picture here, if I only press ok and then apply once and it ls left on that screen you have to back out I just hit the right mouse button and the area over the IVS rule will be still LIT. You need to press apply in that area too. looking at this picture from one of my AI NVR's. I have to press OK, Then Apply then back out then apply and after the last Apply it will no longer be highlighted and the thing will be updated...
