Quality of 841 PTDZ camera over another 2mp camera...

Hello all.. So i wanted to take some time and say WOW... Ok while there are some things that are lacking on the 841 for a true Security Camera in my mind it does have a Great Picture...

So I thought I would show a 2MP camera that has a Built in heater I guess it is having some issues as of late... Main reason for this is really to say how much I like the 841 and not trash on the what I will call Brand N Bullet... I will put some info about both cameras... More about my Thought below....

So first... I don't know the last few weeks the Brand N has been having some issues with odd smoke looking things inside the lens lol. Going to guess because the heater is running. It isn't always like this but when it does it makes teh camera kind of useless...

I normally have it on a 24v PSU and right now i have a 5amp 12v PSU powering it with nothing else online the power so it can use all it needs... At this time I am running it in Color and the LEDS don't come on in this one like some of the DOME type from Brand N do lucky for me in that aspect... However I was almost thinking maybe with the LEDs on it might add some extra heat for the lens and might cure this I will have to see... Right now I have them facing the same area... Sadly it is hard to tell. I am also almost maxed out on the Lens zoom and is right around 12mm. Sadly because it is a Varifocal lens that is Motorized it don't have a zoom factor... With the View right now not looking so good tonight... It don't normally look this bad TBH... Can not see it but it is a Rain mixed with snow right now Very nasty out... So while it say it will work in -40 I am not sure how will it would really work at that low of a temp. Lowest I have had it is -12 F. It worked well at that... Real feel was -24 does that count lol...

Anyway the Quality of the 841 is crazy... This picture don't do justice to be honest... You can see lines from the Monitor I am almost thinking about logging into the camera for a Snapshot lol... Anyway this camera is not only great quality but it is Behind a Dual Pane Window with Low-E shield lol... Then not only did I take a HIT with the Glass but the little camera is zoomed in some and seeing it is a Digital Zoom it isn't as clear as it could be lol... However I am looking at what I want to see rather then total FOV...

So I thought I would add 2 more pictures of the 841 behind glass color at night this is Screen shots no extra changes other then reducing the image size by 50% because they were rather large lol...

So today I thought I would expand a little.. So i am going to put a few pictures that are from today... While the one that is Camera 03 has all the Id areas whited out and reason that camera is there is because of ID ability...

So why do I say that the 841 is better.. To be honest it is.. Just because you can't see items that are ID able that is because the camera sits behind a Low-E Double Pane window with gas and 2 coats of film. Then as the picture above shows this also is zoomed in and because the Camera is using a Digital zoom Tech it would lower picture quality some... However I wanted to also show you what an older Tech Camera looks like at the same view point... This camera is sadly also behind the same window as the 841 and because of the camera being OLD Tech 600tvl camera that hurts it some... Waiting for a replacement arm so I can put it back in its outdoor heated enclosure with only 1 glass to look though lol... Now while that Camera right now is about 14mm lens it is a cheater because it can zoom much more then the 841 and the other camera ever could because it does have a 7 x 70mm lens... However it isn't Auto and that isn't on this topic Just saying... I do also have cameras with a 139mm lens as well it is auto in a PTZ Speed Dome but that is all different topic not on here... IF yo are on Chrome you can Right click and open image in new tab to make larger and be able to zoom in.. first and second picture you can make out the Speed sign while the 1st one is limited only by being OLD TECH... second one you can see because it is outdoors. But qulaity of picture still goes to the 841 however speed sign can't make it out only in this view because it is zoomed in Digitally and behind a window
