Push Notifications suddenly ceased on ALL my cameras?!!
Re: Push Notifications suddenly ceased on ALL my cameras?!!
Deleting the NVR and re-adding it by P2P with the QR code changed how it acts. I originally was adding it by the "Search Device" and it would find it by IP/device on the network. It seems like the app programming is a little different between adding the NVR the 2 different ways. Now when I hit the notification to open the app, it gives the list of all events and can pick the top most recent one to view, then hit Live View. It's a few more clicks than the original app, but it's not taking me to an old clip from the wrong camera anymore. I re-added it on my wife's phone the same way with peer to peer and it fixed hers as well.

Not sure, I just deleted the device I was using with p2p and added it with Ip format and it is working as it was while in P2P mode just don't have access outside of the network.
You saying that changing format from Ip to P2P displays the playback of an event differently on yours?

I will admit that something I don't like about the AVP2 that is better with AVP is when you have a camera that don't have a Micro SD card installed and setup for Push, You get the alert but when you click the alert it don't give anything for you to click to even get to live view. So for others that are reading this and use IP cameras without Micro SD cards installed, Keep in mind that using Push on them cameras will not leave you anyway to view the cameras live feed from the event page.

Yes. When I got a push notification and hit the notification to open the app it would take me to an event from a different camera, and always the same old clip. That was on my Samsung s21 and my old S8 and also my wife's cheaper Samsung. I noticed I couldn't get the cameras to come up when I left the house and realized I needed to set it up with P2P. After I set it back up using P2P I noticed it was working correctly. Then redid my s8 and it worked then my wife's phone too. Just a bug between the 2 setups I guess, but it was driving me nuts.Revo2Maxx wrote: ↑Sun Sep 08, 2024 6:41 pm Not sure, I just deleted the device I was using with p2p and added it with Ip format and it is working as it was while in P2P mode just don't have access outside of the network.

Re: Push Notifications suddenly ceased on ALL my cameras?!!
Also, something I was doing different was at first I was turning on push notifications for SMD under the settings of each camera. After going through the app menus a few times I found where I could enable SMD on all the cameras on the same screen under device details for the NVR. I was able to reproduce the problem by deleting the app and reinstalling it then setting it up as I did the first few times. It's odd because clicking any notification didn't take me to the event list, it opened the app to the first clip it stored every time and began playing it, even though I had deleted it. I would walk out in my driveway and I'd get a driveway SMD human notification, click it and it would open the deleted SMD human event from my deck and begin playing it. Anyhow, it's working correctly now.
Re: Push Notifications suddenly ceased on ALL my cameras?!!
Interesting issue, Thank you for helping me understand better, I have tried both methods in a few different Samsung models, S9, S21 ultra and an S24 and all are working as the other for my phones. I just have to remember now that AVP2 isn't good for devices without Micro SD or HDD. Don't use it much anyway as I have hard time with Change so still use AVP for most of my single cameras. My guess is a future release of the AVP2 will correct the lack of choice of push method like the image, video and live view. AVP2 does feel like a better app for the most part..
About you last post that is very odd, While I have not used AVP2 for SMD will have to setup and test because that seems like something very strange that it would keep playing an old deleted event and would love to see if I could recreate it. Thank you

Re: Push Notifications suddenly ceased on ALL my cameras?!!
For others that are following along, My guess is the OP is talking about setting up SMD for all devices off the main app page and clicking on the DVR/NVR 3 dots on the top right and Device Details, Then Push Notifications in that area, Then you can choose the type of event in this case SMD, then you can click the type of Event Human or Vehicle and then pick all the ones you want to have with that alert type and save from there without having to go to each channel 1 at a time..

Re: Push Notifications suddenly ceased on ALL my cameras?!!
So another thing I found odd SMD the video starts right away and don't have to click the play where for IVS events you have to click the event, then it shows the events static image then you have to click play and the video plays back. Where with SMD click the event and it just starts out by loading the playback no extra clicks to get it to play.. I did test a few different tries and each come up to their own events even deleting 5 older events. Maybe the Samsung version I am using. I will keep it going for little and see if it happens to me over next few days. Kind of odd that it keeps an older deleted video when you click the new event. Again thank you for your time with answers.

Re: Push Notifications suddenly ceased on ALL my cameras?!!
Here's a screen recording of how it's acting. I think it has more to do with setting up the SMD on each camera individually. If I set it up all on the same page it works correctly.

Re: Push Notifications suddenly ceased on ALL my cameras?!!
Humm, What recorder are you using and the camera? It almost seems that it is a delay that is happening because of the Video Recording settings maybe? What is your Lead in and what is the Anti Dither? or Post Record setup?
That is very strange, Mine don't act that way in IP or P2P mode using my 5108-i3 or my 4108-A2 using a Pro series AI camera from Dahua. Seeing my other cameras with SMD are in places that I don't want to go for testing late dark and cooler then I want to go play lol..
Are you using a Security HDD? are your cables pure copper cat cables? Kind of seems like there is a delay like it is trying to locate the footage.
