Hi, I’m currently using an Amcrest IP2M-842 Wifi Camera as a weather camera, which is mounted outside which I want to display on my weather page. I have no problem connecting to it locally on an internal IP address when I call it like this:
<img src=”http://192.168.1.102/axis-cgi/mjpg/vide ... a=1”></img>
But if I change it to an external IP like this one, it doesn’t work:
<img src=”http://70.13.2xx.196/axis-cgi/mjpg/vide ... a=1”></img>
Now, I’ve tried adding the port after the IP address, i.e. :37777, but that doesn’t work either.
I’ve also tried adding the user ID and password I set up for the camera right before the IP address, separated with an @ symbol:
<img src=”http://camera:camera1@70.13.2xx.196:377 ... a=1”></img>
I can confirm that port 37777 is open on my router. Should I be using this port? I’ve tried 4012, 3732 and 3193, and I get the same results from each, no live video displays on the webpage, but I can display it locally without the specified port.
I understand this camera has a built-in web server? How do I activate that? What URL do I use to call it on my web page?
Thanks for any help you can provide.
Dan

Problem getting video to display on web page
Re: Problem getting video to display on web page
Hello dsmith44 ,
Please find the http commands to get video and snapshot from the camera. You need to set up port forwarding with http port as these commands use the http ports of the camera. You might often have to change it from the default 80 and then set it up.
Mjpeg video
http://user:Pwd@ip:port/cgi-bin/mjpg/video.cgi?[channel=<channelno>]&subtype=1
Snapshot
http://user:Pwd@ip:port/cgi-bin/snapshot.cgi[?channel=<ChannelNo>]
