Powering WiFi camera from POE camera

I have several existing POE cameras at locations that I would like another camera facing the opposite direction. Is it possible to power a WiFi camera from the existing POE camera ie from mini plug on existing POE cameras?

Hi Dennisja,

If you want to use wifi camera with PoE connection you have to use PoE splitter in between.

You should be able to use an existing POE cable with two POE cameras at one site by using something like this:

That device is also powered by the POE cable. You do need to consider your camera Watt requirements, etc.
