Hello,
I purchased a number of cameras a few months back in anticipation of moving into our new house. I had the builder pre-wire all my camera locations with CAT5. Along with the cameras, I also purchased the Amcrest Active PoE Splitter Adapters. I have 5 of them and 5 of the IP2M-841W ProHD ip cameras. Additionally, I purchased an Amcrest NV4108E 8-Channel PoE NVR and two PoE outdoor bullet cams.
The plan was to hook all 7 cameras up to the NVR using PoE. I was able to get the bullet cams successfully connected to the NVR using PoE, but I can not get the others to connect using the PoE splitter adapter. I did get one up and running on the wireless signal, but I want them to be wired and to connect to the NVR so it will record them.
I am getting power to the cams via the PoE splitter. Also, it appears that the cam is showing up on the NVR, but it doesn't ever show a picture (see attached screen shot). Do I need to do something special to use these PoE splitters with the PoE NVR? This is all aecrest equipment.
Can you help? Thanks.
Bob

Re: POE NVR with Wireless ProHD Cams using PoE Splitter.
Hello bobreck,
So all the cams are showing up in the NVR under the 'remote' settings? All you need to do is to edit the cameras under remote settings and input the correct username and password which is both 'admin' by default. Also, the splitter device has a switch to adjust the voltage. Make sure the voltage is 5 volt for the indoor Pro HD IP cams. Also, you can hook them all up in wireless mode and still have the cameras record to the NVR.
