POE camera setup
I just received an IP3M-954E and I'm trying to do the setup per the Quick Start Guide. I have the camera connected to my router and, and to a 12V DC power supply via the Y-connector on the camera lead. The green LED on the camera face doesn't light, indicating no power is getting to the camera, and a "connection failed" message from the Android app. Must I use a POE injector, instead of the 12 V power supply, for the setup?

Yes the power connector is an alternative POE. There is no green light on this camera. You can cover the camera lense including the IR sensor for 30 seconds and this will enable the IR LEds and you can notice a red glow on the Leds. Just a way to check if cameras are getting power.
If they get power you might need to try hard resetting the camera. For this the front of the camera needs to be opened and there are two brass ports on the board which you need to short with a wire for 30 seconds.
