Playback via Amcrest Link app for IOS?

I have the 960h 4 camera system, and am using the Amcrest Link app. Everything seems to work great in the app except the playback feature. Is this supposed to work? If not - why is it in the app?

Hello,

I wanted to double check to ensure you're using the proper procedure. After you open the app, click Playback at the top, then click the button just to the right of it. Here you can select the time frame you want to search in. Just below that you should see your device. You can tap this and select what channel you want to view. Click Start Search and it will take back to the playback screen but now it will have recordings shown on the timeline (colored bars). Now press play and the recording will be played. Is this what you have tried and the video doesn't play? If it does not play, please provide the phone model and what version it is.

Ah - that solved it. I didn't realize you had to search first and choose the channel. Tried and it works now.

I'm having a similar issue. One I search for a camera and date range, the time bar returns with recorded time. I can scroll to those and sometimes a still shot loads, sometimes it doesn't. I've never gotten actual frame by frame playback thru the app. Should I have the ability to view frame by frame here? Thanks!

I am having a similar issue. I just installed all my cameras and the live feed works fine but the playback feature does not work. I go to playback and click device, set a time frame, pick a camera and seach and it comes back with the time frame searched and I click play but it doesnt show me anything, just gray screen. My DVR says ive used 100gigs since install so it seems to be recording, but not allowing me to play back...

I followed the recommended steps. I've selected the start and end date & time. When I select which camera to view, it turns gray while tapped but then there's no indication of it being selected. And there's no "Start Search" option. I do see a curved arrow at the top right. When I tap that, it goes back to the playback screen. When I tap the play button, I get nothing.
