Playback Issues

Post by ksp02 »

I noticed the playback on the camera is strange... will show movement, then a short break, and the image picks up at another location. Or, sometimes even a ghosted image: the video of a person stops, then the person shows up a few feet away and the stopped image suddenly speeds up to catch up (with a blur) to the image of itself in front. It's kind of difficult to describe. This is a relatively new camera (IP2M-841B) and it might not have started with this issue until the firmware update, but I'm not sure.

I initially thought it might be the SD card, even though it was new, but I replaced it with another new one and the issue remained. I'm getting close to the end of the return period (Amazon) and I need to know if this is a camera (hardware) issue, problems with wifi connection, or ????.

Thank you.

My camera does the same thing. I have not been able to troubleshoot this problem yet :)

Hello ksp02,

This looks like a network speed related issue. If you are playing back from phone app this could be due to low network speed.

Thanks. I'm using IP config from wifi at home. The problem seems to come and go. It was okay for a couple of days, now it's back to the flaky playback. Hope yours has resolved, Mark. I'll keep an eye on mine, but it's having issues today and network speed test is normal.
