Placing DVR/NVR in garage

Our attic is difficult to run wires so thinking of placing the DVR/NVR in our garage to make the cabling easier. Most of the cameras will be off the various walls around the garage. Understand this area will get hotter than other areas and wanted to find out what the operating conditions are for DVR/NVR. I want to place the unit in a lockable shelf space and would probably run some fans to it (by using fans used for PCs). Comments/Suggestions?

The operating temperature of DVR/NVR is -10 to 55 degree Celsius (14 to 131 degree F). Please make sure you are giving proper air ventilation.
