So I am thinking about Relocating a 850EB and don't like that it is Black. While I don't want to hide it I just want it a different color then black? So I have painted many things in my life time I can't say that I have painted many Cameras that is exposed to the outdoors like the 850EB is. I did paint a few others however they sit back and don't see rain and has lasted some time..
So I am looking to see if there are others that have Painted their cameras that see Rain, sleet, snow, very humid life and if you have what type of paint and or what did you do to Prep the camera body for the new skin? I understand that there are some moving parts and it will or could be hard to get a good cover in all areas without taking it apart. To be honest the camera needs to be Cleaned and the Gel Packs replaced this year so I will also replace the MSD with a new 128 WD Purple and upgrade from the 64 it has now, look over and replace the belts if needed as well..
I don't have a Electro or Powder coating area and not looking to get that deep into painting I am looking for a Easy DIY type of paint job that will last a while.. Type of paint and prep used would help..
