Offline event

Post by hawkes »

Our new camera has been running flawlessly since it was installed a week ago. Last night for some reason the camera went completely offline and did not recover until someone power cycled it this morning. The logs in the surveillance pro software (installed at a remote site) have entries and while I can probably guess at what some of them mean, I do not see a listing or guide indicating what they might mean. I don't know if these entries are stored in the camera and retrieved when I connect or if they are only local to the software installed at the remote office location. Here is a sample of some of them:

I started a local video record just a few seconds after midnight and went to bed. The playback of the video continues until about 12:24am and then stops.

The camera is hard wired with Cat 5E. There is a small 32GB microSD card installed in the camera. I have x'd out the IP for the home office, but I assume that is the software trying to log in and continue the stream. Alarms for disconnects and offline had not been enabled at the time.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hello hawkes,

We are not sure what exactly might have caused it but there seems to be some network interruption. You can set up the camera to auto reboot daily and this can help eliminate these type of issues. The settings is under settings > System > Auto maintain.
