Hello,
I've got my new NVR setup and working and I'm able to login locally and via AmcrestView.com. However, I am currently unable to login remotely via DDNS.
I'm able to access the login page remotely via the DDNS domain/url, so I know DDNS is working and the port is open on my router. However when I select "WAN" and enter the same credentials, I'm getting "Login failed!" message. Fwiw, I tried "LAN" too.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

NVR4108 - Remote Login Failed
Re: NVR4108 - Remote Login Failed
Hello Ken,
For remote access you should not only port forward the http port but the TCP port of the NVR as well. This by default is 37777 but you can change it.

Re: NVR4108 - Remote Login Failed
I thought I'd be able to set a custom TCP port in the NVR settings and port forward same to the NVR (eg. 37707), but that didn't work - still got "login failed."
I ended up port forwarding 37777 to the NVR and that worked. Is that what you meant?
Thanks.

Re: NVR4108 - Remote Login Failed
Hello Ken,
It should be fine but you should be able to change the TCP port if needed. May be you can try a 4 digit number. It should be ok as long as it is working, saying this in case you want to change the port number.
