NVR NV4108 - Recording indication on display while viewing in Web UI?

Is there a way to see when a camera is recording on the web GUI of the NV4108? When I connect a monitor directly to the NVR I can see in the view display when it detects motion and records but I cannot see this in the Web GUI.

It seems like this NV4108 has a hand full of useful features that can only be accessed by connecting a monitor directly to it and are not available through the Web UI, does that sound correct???

Is there a way to submit this as a development request? Record indication works great when connected directly to the NV4108 but my NVR is located remotely so I must use the Web UI.
