NVR Not picking up camerasa and cameras go offline

Post by rtaylor115 »

I have a 32 channel POE NVR with 25 1080P bullet cameras. 11 cameras are picked up by the NVR. The other 14 are not found. The POE switch shows activity on the port for those cameras AND yes, my port is configured for POE. Those cameras have the red lights for IR when I check them so I know they are receiving power.

My NVR is on a 192.168.0.x subnet. The cameras are 10.1.1.x and apparently that is assigned by the NVR (I don't like it one bit). I attempt to log into the cameras from the setup screen at the NVR and the option is grayed out. I attempt to log into the cameras after placing my laptop on the same subnet and cannot ping anything, nor can I log into the cameras. Of course, this may be due to Amcrest not supporting modern technology; but, shouldn't I still ping?

Can anyone help? The issues with this client has caused me to not purchase from Amcrest and especially because support is SLOW. I thought dealers got priority support; but, what do I know...I believed what I was told when I became a dealer!

This is an urgent issue for a tightly regulated industry. Any failure can shut them down in an instant if the state sees the cameras offline.

Thanks in advance.
