NVR 4108E Lagging Recorded Video

I've yet to find a solution on this. My system has always worked great. However, starting two days ago, my playbackj and recorded footage is lagging or choppy and skippy. This is for all connected cameras. This is the same if viewed on the NVR or if the recorded file is downloaded.

I have an Amcrest 4108E NVR and Amcrest IP2M-842E cameras. The NVR is running the latest firmware released on 07-04-2017. The cameras are running the latest firmware 2.52. I just updated the camera firmware tonight hoping that would fix the issue, but it did not.

Great system, but this is a critical issue. If a person is walking in my driveway, it may skip 7-10 seconds and not show them again.

So this is happening on the monitor that is directly plugged in to the NVR? Is the live view very smooth?

Not sure what is causing this but if its ok, try doing a factory reset on the NVR under, settings > System > Factory defaults.

So was this ever resolved and if so what was the issue to resolve poor recorded playbacks
