Not Receiving Push Notifications with latest Amcrest View app

I updated to the latest iOS version of the Viewcam app, and also updated my 720p dvr to the latest firmware, now I stopped receiving push notifications for motion detection. I can access the live view fine and also set configurations over the phone. My dvr settings are all exactly the same (I used a config backup through usb). Then when I try to disable push notifications, it also gives me an error message "failed to stop push notifications". I have tried deleting the app on the phone and reinstalling it, still no luck. Please help.
