Hello All,
I was doing a reset on a camera for a family member of mine today and 4 out of 5 Work now.
After multiple attempts of trouble shooting the camera and multiple resets the camera does not get broadcasted to our Web UI.
We even went through the trouble of running and termiating a new Ethernet cable.
When checking the modem/router the IP shows up as Unknown - 192.168.0.7 as all the other cameras show up normally.
I came to the conclusion that the camera had a fault in it for factory resets.
Any suggestions or questions on my issues is highly appreciated.
Thanks.
No Connection After Reset
Re: No Connection After Reset
Hello and Welcome to the Forum
So what cameras do you have that your Trying to Reset?
Some things you can do this info is for Win10 outside of that will need to know what OP System your using...
Press the Windows Key on the bottom of the keyboard and at same time press R, Then type CMD press enter, then type ARP -G this will bring up your IPs and even listed Multicast IP might come up as well.. What your looking for is something like 192.168.1.108 or 0.108 depending on the cameras normal setting.. Most times or at times they come setup with DHCP and should give you a IP from your routers table of IPs however sometimes one slips though that is setup Static and has the 0.108 or 1.108 IP.. If you find that on a ARP try connecting to that...
Another thing you can try is running Amcrest IP config tool.. Then doing a search and see if there is a Lone wolf on your network...
I am sure seeing you said you tried a new cable but I would also try changing out PORT and or moving to a Cable that works I know this isn't always easy to do but at times it could be easier to take down a camera and test on a KNOWN good Cable then trying to run a whole new cable.. Also if you have back up cameras taking a camera that you have Bench tested and setup on your bench could be connected at the camera location to find out if the cable is bad accidents can happen and some cables are Rodent treats they love the smell and taste of some cat 5 cables...
