night vision does not work

I have the night vision option selected as auto (if I recall correctly that's the setting name), but night vision has never worked on my camera (IP2M-841 ProHD 1080P (1920TVL) Wireless WiFi IP Camera).

How can I fix this?

Could you please try to hard reset the camera and check whether that fix the issue?.

i suspect the night vision issue is related to a bad firmware. may i ask what is the firmware version of your ip2m-841? i surmise your ip2m-841 firmware is 2.420.AC00.17.R, Build Date: 2017-03-22.
