Motion detection - who trumps who?
Motion detection - who trumps who?
I know of three ways to adjust the sensitivity of motion detection when enabled - by url of camera in browser, in Amcrest Cloud, and with the Amcrest View app. I assume all these pull the settings from the camera and save them back to the camera when changed and saved. But when I look at all three, they all have different values for sensitivity. Of course I won't being using the direct access by browser anymore as the plugin no longer works on modern browsers. So that leaves me using Amcrest Cloud or the IOS app. But why the heck do these two show different sensitivity values depending on which one I use? Even the detection area varies depending on which way I access the camera. One would think all access methods would yield the same result - not. Ideas?

IE Web UI is best to use for setting up motion detection. You could use View Pro to change some settings. I can't address Cloud motion detection settings, but I would avoid using them if possible.
You could also try Amcrest Surveillance Pro.
