Motion detection region keeps resetting

All will be well for part of a day and then my phone explodes with movement notifications. I look and the motion area has reset to include the entire screen. I have had to re-do this maybe 10 10 in the last 3 days that I have owned the camera. Any thoughts? None of my other changes are resetting.

I am having this same issue using the iOS app and the web app.

Sorry I have not heard of things happening like that.. I did have or Do I should say have an issue with one of my Cameras that likes to change things after a reboot...

So here is what I am thinking is happening...

There might be a dead Memory Battery in your camera or it just isn't connected well, When the camera Reboots all the info of what you had setup is lost and Reverts back to normal settings...

First If you have not done a Hard reset I would try this first or at least lets say If you have not done a Reset at all try the software one first, Then setup camera again, this time also Remove the Weekly Reboot out of the Auto Maintain settings this way the camera will not reboot and loose the info.. Next after a week or longer then normal that it would revert say 2 weeks if it didn't revert after this do a Manual Reboot of the camera, Then if it reverted then you know it is battery issue.. If you bought it from Amcrest then I would look into getting a Replacement after that.. However if it didn't revert after a Reboot you do. Then setup to do weekly reboots again and see if it does a Revert after the system does the Reboot...

I now think it's my Synology NAS. When I make some setting changes it resets the detection area to the entire screen.
