Media Folder

Hi Guys,

I have my NVR setup on my desktop with 1 gig allocated. I noticed that no matter what path I set the recording gets sent to a file called media. I downloaded the smart player to pull and view these but it does not work. If I want to save some files from being overwritten how do I grab them and save them somewhere else if the smart player cannot view the files in the media folder. They are not in the .dav format it appears.

Hello mjl1987 ,

Are you using the PC NVR option of Surveillance Pro software? Then these recording can be only played back from the software through the playback option. If you want the file, you can download the file to the PC from the playback section.

If you want to free space on your drive, use the option free space under PC NVR.

Ah okay I see! so one more question, say I want to let it keep overwriting, but I want to save a portion of the recording. How would I do that?

Hello mjl1987,

Under the PC-NVR section of the software you can allocate the amount of space you want for recording and it will overwrite automatically. If you want to save a particular portion , you can download it from the playback section.
