I did an "Add Device" to add my IP8M-2696EW-AI to Amcrest View Pro. Live view works fine and can see most of the non-smart motion detection settings. The settings below are not visible in the app's Configuration Center:
- Face Detection
- IVS
- Smart Motion Detection
Has anyone come across this issue and know how to address it ?

The app isn't updated to a new enough date to have IVS and SMD installed. However there is some data for Face Detection if you use the Push Notice part of the App you can choose Face Detection as one of the options if you had a camera that was setup with that option.
Last I heard they were working on the app and have had some issues with the app for old new and IVS type cameras within the app and has kept the release of the app off the hands of others until it is ready to market.
If you use your system IP only and don't care about having P2P access then you could use DMSS for now until Amcrest releases a new AVP for the full access. Just keep in mind that when you get an alert from Amcrest camera the app will not let you look at the footage away form your cameras Network and again no footage or record of alert will remain on app once you see the alerts notice.. So I use it to get alerts and on devices I feel I need to view while away I just use the AVP to access my camera or Recorders while away.

Thanks for the information. Having only partial functionality on AVP for this camera is a problem so future purchases will be re-thought. Hopefully, AVP for this camera is ready for prime time very soon. I just want to confirm a couple of things:
- Are you saying that if my phone/AVP is not on the network to which the camera is connected (some remote location), I cannot view footage recorded on the camera's MircoSD card ?
- What is DMSS ?

No, What I said is DMSS you wouldn't be able to view footage if your were not on the same network. AVP if you setup your Amcrest Cameras using P2P setup then you would be able to access your cameras outside of your own network as long as they were connected to a Network with Internet Access..
DMSS is Dahua branded Mobile app like AVP, Why it won't work outside of your network (DMSS) is because only way to get the cameras or recorders to work in DMSS is using the IP setup seeing the Amcrest SN don't register with Dahua servers because they are not owned by Dahua they are owned by Amcrest.
