Looking for a part for my IP3M-943B camera

Post by spiggman »

Greetings one and all,

I have a perfectly functional, out of warranty but satisfactory IP3M-943B security camera - except that the socket that should hold the micro SD card is broken. It won't lock and hold the card in place anymore. I took it apart and can see that the plastic part that does the locking in place is broken. I don't have the technology to solder a new socket in place and so would like to buy another circuit board which also holds the SD card socket. Can anyone please recommend where I could buy one - seems a shame to just thrown out the whole camera just because one small part has broken.

Thanks - David Miller

Sadly a couple of years ago I had a Tree limb come down and smash the front of one of my CVI cameras lenses not the Camera lens it self but the Glass lens for the Body.. I have looked everywhere and no one has anything of parts wise for CCTV.. Then the cost would be more then what it was worth to buy a new camera so for now I just have the camera sitting on the side line for the day one of my other cameras gives up I will have a back up..

So for you and your Cameras First Of All.. Welcome to the Forum for you... Your camera sadly even with a broken MSD socket there is no need to discard the camera, I have many cameras from yester year (Years past) that don't have a MSD even from the factory... So then how to store the footage is the question then and that would come down to a few choices.. First and best Choice would be a Amcrest NVR, Then there is ASP using PC-NVR (AsP = Amcrest Servalince Pro) Another and maybe easier way is to setup an FTP server and almost any computer can do that without issue.. There are other things out there as well. Digital Watch Dog, or Blue Iris and some options...

Sadly don't know you and if you did live close by I would be more then happy to solder on a new connection for your MSD.. Depending on the Type of msd connector it is you might be able to MacGyver your MSD into place and another option..

Finding parts for cameras sadly isn't something that would come easy without just buying a For Parts Camera and even then your taking the risk of the Circuit board not being any good..
Be Safe.
