P2P has never worked with the Amcrest View Lite app. I used the IP/Domain solution and it has worked great since May. About 2 weeks ago I started getting login timeout errors. Why???? What's the point of having a nice security camera system if I can't view my cameras remotely??? DDNS does not work either (and yes it's set up correctly on the DVR). This type of configuration of apps and security cameras is not that difficult. Something changed and it wasn't on my end. How does an app all of the sudden stop working? Please help.

Login Timeout Errors on iPhone 6
Re: Login Timeout Errors on iPhone 6
Having the same issue and have tried linking it every way possible. i have an iphone 5S and have successfully had the app work before.
This is one of the only reasons I got amcrest - I have to be able to see the cameras on my phone.

Hello,
I apologize for the delay. When the timeouts happen are you eventually able to login or have you lost all remote access on your phone? For P2P on iOS (specifically iPhone6) please update the firmware. The newest firmware can be found at www.amcrest.com/firmware As for how the app all of the sudden stops work, I'm not sure. One way we've found to get it working again is to remove the device from the app and re-add it.

Hi Zach. The firmware version on my HDCVI 720P 4CH is 3.200.AC24.0, Build Date: 11-22-2014. The Amcrest website shows this is the latest version. I have removed the device from the app and I have also uninstalled the app and reinstalled. Since P2P doesn't work I used the IP/Domain configuration after enabling port forwarding and it worked great. I'm not sure what happened for this to stop working but I don't know where to go from here.Zach wrote:Hello,

Zach...I figured it out. On a whim, I went to my router to see if anything changed there. To my dismay all the port forwarding rules I had in place for the Amcrest DVR disappeared so I just re-added them. Everything is working now. Not sure why they disappeared but at least it's fixed.Zach wrote:Hello,

I was going to say as well my P2P did work either until I added port forwarding on my router, worked like a charm after that!AdamC wrote:Zach...I figured it out. Re: Login Timeout Errors on iPhone 6
Hey Im getting the same errors as well and want to give port forwarding as shot to see if it will troubleshoot the issue. I did a quick google search to find out how to access port forwarding and was curious what needs to be done to complete this. I.E what ports or entries need to be input for the router, or at least where this info would be accessed.
(Using a Amcrest 1080p pan/tilt ball head)
Thanks

Hello,
You need to set up port forwarding for the HTTP and TCP port. The following video guide explains port forwarding in HDCVI DVR. The set up is basically the same for the IP camera as well.
