We have an Amcrest IP camera that was recently installed remotely. We use the Amcrest Surveillance Pro software at a home office location. At that location we are trying to record the video stream by clicking on the local record button at the top right. Recording seems to go until the file is just under a gigabyte in size. It does not overwrite and start over. It does not create a new file. It just stops. The drive it is recording to is 1TB in size and has over 900GB of free space available. In order to rule out issues with the drive, we swapped it out with a new 1TB drive with the same results. Is there a file size limit for recording locally? I have gone through settings and the user guides and I do not see anything that would speak to limits. Any help would be appreciated.

Local storage stops just under 1 gigabyte
Re: Local storage stops just under 1 gigabyte
Hello hawkes,
There is no such limit for recording. Perhaps it would be better to set up the PC NVR feature and schedule the recordings. This will auto rewrite old files automatically. Please give us a call and we can help you set that up.

Melvin,
My understanding is the PC-NVR is for local network cameras only. Is that not the case?
