One reason I bought an Amcrest (IP4M-1026E) is that I assumed it conformed to some standard ONVIF interface, so I could live stream to a TV whatever the camera could see.
Currently I can't view the stream without using a proprietary plugin, or am I mistaken?
I made a video about my setup btw: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qm37CofTl34 which reference scripts I use to massage the recorded video uploaded via local FTP server. https://github.com/kaihendry/praze-cam2 ... pi/move.sh
Live streaming ONVIF API ?
Re: Live streaming ONVIF API ?
It depends on what capability you have at your TV to request a stream from your camera. You could find an app or use ONVIF and/or the Amcrest API. Download the Amcrest API pdf to read about it.
If you have a Roku, try using the Roku app called IP Camera Viewer.
