I was quite disappointed to learn that this made in the USA product (IPM-721S) is using Chinese chipsets. In the wake of the latest DDOS attacks and increased skepticism as to the security of Chinese chipsets is there any official documentation that lists;
-Out of the box, default open service ports.
-What these ports are used for?
-Are the open service ports same for wireless vs Ethernet?
If I just want to use my iOS device to view / control camera using Amcrest View pro what are the open service ports at any given moment?
Thank you
list of open service ports?
Re: list of open service ports?
Hello iskyfly ,
Unfortunately we do not have a list of the ports. The ports would be same for wireless and Ethernet. If you are concerned about the cameras p2p external connections and open ports, you can disable the P2p in the camera and block traffic from the camera on your router/firewall. Then you can set up port forwarding on the router and only leave the TCP and http port on the camera open and you can assign the port numbers as you wish.

Re: list of open service ports?
For what reason would the camera connect to;
x.amcrestcloud.com (I have not enabled cloud storage)
p2p.amcrestview.com
x.aws.amazon.com
?
Thank you

Re: list of open service ports?
Hello iskyfly ,
One is for the Amcrest Cloud service. p2p.amcrestview.com must be the connection to P2P server for easy remote access. x.aws.amazon.com should be checking for newer firmware as they are hosted in Amazon servers.
