Hello,
I am struggling to get my cameras to work. I bought 4 cameras, I have tried 3 so far and none of them seem to work. I am doing the setup using Android, I have installed the Amcrest View App and tried both options: Wifi Setup and Wifi Ethernet Setup. On both methods I get the same result: I manage to name the cameras, and get them connected to my wifi (I can see them listed on the IP list on my router). Once they get connected (I get the Camera succesfully connected screen) but when I tap on Start Live Preview, instead of taking me to the password change screen, I get a "Failed to connect" error.
When I attempted the first, I thought it might be defective, but three of them? I think I'm doing something worng
Has somebody experienced this before? any advise to get them to work?

Re: Issue setting up my cameras
Seems like there is an outage as such today. My cameras will work on the cloud & pc, but not phone.

Hy lford6343*, I sure hope you are right. I remember when Amcrest "updated" their app several months ago it forced everyone (or a bunch of us anyway) to reinstall the cameras, meaning many of us had to travel hours to be within range of the router the cameras were attached to, not knowing in the mean time what was going on. Hopefully, Amcrest will fix this problem soon and not require their users to go through all that--AGAIN.
Re: Issue setting up my cameras
I can't view my cameras on wifi/the apps either. I hope this gets resolved ASAP.

Re: Issue setting up my cameras
For me...
IIRC I had to use the phone app and set them up initially to get them added to the wifi and change the password. Then once I had the wifi, I was able to use web gui to assign itself an IP (outside my DHCP assigning range...) and changed the preference from wifi to ethernet. Might have had to reset after that, but since then its worked.
The web app... Hit the 3buttons and goto the Device Manager. From there, select the camera and hit the leftmost button (looks like a pencil?) and ensure the password is updated to the new one you had. What do you have in "Type"? Mine is P2P (if you set up like I did...)

I had the same issue. I had to lower my firewall settings in my router to get the app to connect p2p. Works fine now.
