IPM-751B Cameras not transmitting in wireless

Post by rwtucker »

I just purchased two additional 720p cameras to add to several 1080p cameras that are already working well on the network both locally and remotely via P2P. These two new cameras will connect and function well with a wired connection but will not connect wirelessly. In addition, neither one of them is showing up on my router's wireless table. I am quite familiar with the setup options and have used the pro, ipconfig, and web/via iPad methods. All fail. So far as I can tell, wireless is not functioning on these cameras. I used the wired connection to update both cameras to the latest firmware (9/2016) and both indicated that the update was successful.

Again, wired fine. Configuration fine. Passwords changed and fine. All functions fine. Remove the wired connection and they become invisible and are NOT requesting access to the router. I now have more time in this than the cameras are worth. I am seeing many complaints about this issue in various places on the web. What gives?

I had the same problem until I used the key password on the back of the router. Then I gave it time to completely set up. That worked for me.
