I just noticed that my feed from my 4K IP8M-T2599EW model stopped last afternoon. First I just unplugged and replugged the camera into the switch in hopes a power cycle would bring it back online. It did not.
I removed the camera from it's mount point outside and brought it inside. I've tested with 2 additional switch ports (both PoE) and 2 additional cables (cat5e and cat6).
Is this camera just dead? If so, how? I haven't even had it for a year. It was exposed to the elements, but was underneath an eaves. It wasn't getting directly rained on or anything, no direct elements contact aside from the cold. And it hasn't been that cold here, our lowest in the last couple months has been like 10*F. The camera worked fine through those days. Yesterday it was 40*F-ish, so definitely not too cold?
What gives?
IP8M-T2599EW Stopped working
Re: IP8M-T2599EW Stopped working
update: after leaving the camera plugged in for some time, i notice it's warm (not hot, warm as in clearly operating). Also if i turn off the lights in the room the camera is in, the IR night vision activates (evidenced by the red lights on the camera).
So _something_ is happening. It's just not being picked up by the network

Welcome to the Forum.
You will want to look over your cables and make sure the ones going to the camera are real Copper cables. If they are CCA the camera will most likely need repair. However there are things that one will need to do before knowing for sure that the camera is in deed dead...

Yeah, I've tested with multiple cables, including ones that work with other Amcrest cameras on my property.
