Hmmm, last reply didn't post - trying again:

No 'Ethernet' in 'Network Connections'. Win 10 pro.
This is an ongoing issue with Windows: It is becoming more and more difficult to do anything other than plain vanilla configurations. I THINK MAYBE I can spoof Windows by changing the existing connection to static, then changing the 192.168.0 address to 192.168.1. I will probably need to be directly connected to the POE switch with wifi off for this to work.
Or maybe I can find my old Linux boot disk.
This would have been SO MUCH simpler if I'd been sent a camera which hadn't had an address already entered, or if the camera had a factory reset button. Maybe in the future Amcrest will correct these deficiencies as the camera is excellent otherwise.

Re: IP8M-T2499E physically hard Factory reset Possible?
I agree and sadly when it comes to amazon a lot of times cameras are sold as NEW when they were returns and it was my Understanding a year or so ago that any camera that was Returned in a Used state was to be Returned to Amcrest for an update to health and once set as being fit for sale it would be only in a Refurbished state and not sold as new..
So I agree had you had a camera that was setup for normal DHCP status this wouldn't have been an issue
Sorry I can only try and help with things that I have in font of me and or with offers of something that might make things better if something like this was to happen to you again or others out there that read this and have the ability to make the changes needed for more then 1 ip linked the said computer...
Sorry I was not able to help you with the issue at hand..
For your needs my guess is that you would need to make your changes in your Wifi setup for your computer and had I known was working with that I would have made a video using my Gaming Laptop rather then one of my Desktops...

Re: IP8M-T2499E physically hard Factory reset Possible?
Ok, I got it working finally! Here's what I did; hopefully this may help someone in the future with a similar issue:
1. Unplugged everything from the POE switch except the camera;
2. Turned off wifi on the laptop;
3. Plugged in the Ethernet adapter and cable, connected to the non-POE port on the switch;
4. Then - and only then - did 'Ethernet' show up under 'Network Connections'
5. Set a static IP of 192.168.1.150 for the laptop
From this point I did what you suggested above, more or less. Amcrest IP Config still wouldn't find the camera even if I typed in the camera's IP address. I was able to ping the camera so I knew it was there. Amcrest View Pro couldn't find it either using the search facility but when I entered the address manually it came up. I then changed the IP address of the camera to be on the 192.168.0 subnet, static address and once I unhooked the PC, turned wifi back on, and plugged everything else back in the camera was there.
Thank you for your assistance, James. Hopefully (!) future versions of this camera will come with a factory reset button!
