IP8M-2779EW Non-Amcrest Nvr clive view but not recording
Amcrest IP8M-2779EW connected to Novell NVR - the NVR detects the 4 Cameras, Adds the cameras, I'm able to live view on the NVR, but will not record. I hit the manual record button on the NVR but no results and no errors.

I have non Amcrest NVR that I can use my Amcrest cameras with, Might want to contact the Forum for your NVR and ask them why you can't record 3rd party cameras? I have Hikvision, Dahua, Samsung, Axis, Amcrest and others on my Amcrest NVRs and while some cameras might not work with Motion Detection I can always record to the NVR full time. Even setup to even record using a different camera as the trigger point.
Be Safe.

Thanks, I have 6 3dr party cameras on that same NVR that record no issues. I was wondering if there might be a specific setting within the Amcrest Ai camera settings.

Well it seems that your camera is connected as you can see the Live View you have said.. Sure depending on the camera FW level it might be that the camera was setup with IVS and the Motion was turned off. If that is the case and the NVR can't make it work IVS and or enable the Motion then it might be able to be done using the Cameras WebUI..
About 3rd party cameras it could be that your other cameras are from the same type as your NVR is so they are supported even if they have different name.. I mean for Amcrest, Dahua and Amcrest work but if you were to have say one of like 30 to 40 other OEM brands on an Amcrest camera they might work just like a Dahua or Amcrest camera does as long as the camera wasn't setup for Brand Only.. Brand only wouldn't even be able to view Live View..

Live view is working with the NVR and you have video, I would look into the recording settings of the NVR and set the stream to record. Because it sounds like it connected to a stream or sub stream and recording for that stream is disabled.michaelvaldez wrote: ↑Wed Oct 09, 2024 1:49 pm Thanks, I have 6 3dr party cameras on that same NVR that record no issues.
