IP8M-2496E frequently not responding

I've had a IP8M-2496E for about two years. In the last 6 months or so, it more and more stops responding. It's now up to a couple times per day. Video stream goes dead and I can never get the login page to fully render. Sometimes it recovers/reboots itself. Other times I have to restart it.

Is there a way to better troubleshoot (the logs are useless) or should I just do a full reset?

First if it was mine first thing I would do is look at the MSD. If easy enough access to it I would remove it and test for a little while without it and see if it still has issues.. Testing a MSD don't always mean it is good even if it comes out as good at that moment. One of mine took a better part of a full year for it to fail 100%..

If you can't access it then best thing you could do is log in go to the storage and unmount it or maybe it will say Eject either way it is an option on some cameras for HotSwap only issue with this is your camera restarts then the mSD is back online.. So will have to remember to turn off again.. 1 last thing that don't always work is change the location to FTP even without a FTP setup can take a load off the MSD however as I said not always work seeing in theory some cameras are always writing to the card for backup needs. SO best to remove or hotswap eject..

If the issue goes away with it ejected or removed then issue is the MSD...

The issue turned out to be a shorted out connector. I replaced the connector and it works like normal again.
