IP5M-1173e FTP not working

I have several amcrest cameras all using FTP, no problem. But this one doesn't seem to want to even attempt to connect via FTP.

The FTP info is correct as I've verified I can log in manually.

I see motion events in the logs, so I know it's actually triggering.

FTP is the enabled destination.

The Test FTP button gives the below error, but I know the test button has always been problematic.

Sadly I don't know the info so I have to ask

What is the Year of FW in the camera?

Odd thing is I just started having an issue on one of my Cameras as well. I went as far as adding another account in my FTP serer with new details so I knew the info and wasn't getting it wrong.. One I found in my other FTP server I had changed the PORT but this wasn't the issue.. Sadly even with setting up a new account I have this one camera I can't get to record to FTP full time or motion.. So I have given up the idea for now.

So while I do know this is an Amcrest Camera. Mine that is, It is a Very Early one because looking at the Mac Address it isn't like my other camera that have an Amcrest Mac. It is so much older from 2015 that it has a Dahua Mac address. However I can't say why it won't let me setup to FTP with others one set there. I even reset another camera back to factory and setup everything back into camera and was able to add it to the old FTP and new FTP site with no issue.

As far as I know there's only one firmware version for this camera, from 2018.

Strange thing, I did a factory reset, started from scratch again and FTP is working. I don't know why it didn't work out of the box

Awesome I am glad you got it working... So I am not sure how old the camera is I know that most of my cameras as far back as 2015 or Amcrest had different FW loaded on them... Even though they have the one that is list on their site it might be that is only one offered for DL but the one that came with camera could have been a different FW... Also at times strange thing is I have a camera that had the FW listed on the site and had some issues... After all the testing and troubleshooting I was asked did I do a FW update I was like no it is the same as one listed. Told me to DL and install it.. I did and for that problem went away..

SO yeah I don't know I was just wondering to see if maybe there was OLD FW that might need to be updated..
