IP4M-1053EW Video Delay

Post by jonnysteele »

So I just bought this PTZ camera and have it hooked to my Amcrest Nvr. I display all 8 camera on my 4k Samsung TV via the Hdmi port on the nvr for local display . All 7 of my 4k cameras are in snyc with the time to the second on the display, but the PTZ is at least 10 seconds behind. It starts off in snyc, but after a few minutes, it's behind, even faster if you are using PTZ. It looks weird now when I see a car drive by and see the same car 10 seconds later on this camera lol. What could cause this?

I have 7 4k Amcrest Bullet cams, plus this PTZ. They all connect to a TPLink POE+ switch. No runs over 50ft using cat6 cable. All firmware up to date.

Well I don't have a 4K system but I did have the same issue not that long ago... You see I have a older very costly PTZ camera that the Belt died last winter and I took it down and put another PTZ in its place so I didn't hurry to get it fixed plus it was odd 2.25mm belt width and hard to find. So I did find one and got it installed. So while I was testing it out after the repair I wanted to see if the Onvif would connect to my Amcrest system and it did.. However I put the other camera back online where it was before the testing and all got out of Sync.. Only that camera for a short time then the other IP camera started to lag only a second or 2 but it wasn't at all before.. Anyway I tried to reset everything after all was done I Factory Reset the Recorder and hooked them back up and all is in time again within a second.. I have 3 cameras that I can see my road. Down the hill to infront of my house to upper street.. Before making this change all was from on screen to the next and then to another screen because it is on a different system monitored on a different monitor... Now all back together. Before it would be off the right screen before it was showing up on the middle screen lol... SO maybe and I know you don't want to do this but maybe do a System backup aka Export and then do a factory Reset and then you can import all the camera and data back on to make setup easy...
Be Safe.

Sounds like the NVR or camera is buffering because of a delay somewhere. I assume your NVR and switch are separately connected to your router. If so, see if while your NVR is delayed, you are getting the same delay when you access the camera directly with the the PC camera(not NVR) Web UI.
