IP4M-1026 Router Network

Post by TheTechSon »

I’m sure this somewhere else in the forum, but “router network connection” was rejected in the search box because the words are “too common”

Anyway - I plugged my camera into power & ethernet, then tried to register camera in the Amcrest cloud app, but it said it wasn’t on the network.

I have one router. One network set up. iPhone only - no PC or laptop. When ATT Fixed Wireless guy was here, he had me access some really cool diagnostic website for my router, but can’t remember the address.

Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

If you are adding your camera as a new device using the device manager, I think you should see an option to "Search Device" which you can use to discover your camera.

I just did a quick search and found that the web interface for your router is probably at http://192.168.1.254
My AMCREST Cameras:-
2 x IP3M-941B firmware V2.620.00AC00.3.R, Build Date: 2019-12-18
1 x IP2M-841B firmware V2.420.AC00.18.R, Build Date: 2019-08-03

I had the same problem - the instructions are very confusing. You have to add the camera to the ViewPro app FIRST, then add it to the Cloud app.

In other words, the View tells the router and camera to communicate, then the Cloud allows the communication to be uploaded.
