IP4M-1025E Losing connection and settings

Post by Slockhart98 »

Just curious if anyone else has attempted to change the http port from the default (80) to another port. When I did this, I was consistently losing access to the 2 cameras. They would eventually come back up, but the drop and I would never be able to connect. On one camera, I noticed I would lose the settings as well. When I changed the http port back to 80, the cameras have been stable, that is for the last 2 days. I am still on firmware 002. I tried to update to 004, but the update never takes.

Just curious if anyone has had similar issues.

Software Version: 2.400.0000.15.R, build : 2016-09-06
Web Version: 3.2.1.289106
ONVIF Version: 2.4.2

Thanks

Hi Slockhart98,

That appears to be very strange. Did you add the new port number after the IP address?.

I actually did. I set my port for the first camera to 8021 and the second camera to 8023. They would go up and down. When I set the port back to 80, cameras haven't gone down for about a week. I would like to set the ports back so I can access the cameras outside the firewall with port forwarding. But since I am using the Synology Surveillance, I really don't have a need. With that said, my IP2M-841B camera has no issue switching ports and has worked perfectly.

Thanks Scott
