IP3M-956W goes offline when switching from color to B&W or nightvision.

Just got this cam 4 days ago. I have it inside for now with plans to move it outside in the future but it goes offline when it changes color mode automatically or if I try and change it manually. Even if I save settings to color during the day at night it automatically switches to b&w and goes offline for a minute.

Yes. That's correct. At night if someone turns on a light the camera will go offline then come back on and stay in color mode all night instead of switching back to b&w. I have to manually switch it back to color and the setting might not change the first time I change it manually.

This looks strange. Can you please try increasing the d&N sensitivity under setup > camera > video in the web interface of the camera from PC to see if that makes any difference.

Now that it's dark outside I played around with the D&N sensitivity. Doesn't fix that issue. With the Color mode on Auto/D&N sensitivity High. I turn the lights off 5 seconds later the camera makes a click and the camera goes offline. 30 seconds later I hear another click and then 10 seconds later I hear another click and the camera comes back online a few seconds after that. Pitch black in the room and it's still set to color mode instead of switching to B&W.

Hello Johnx,

It sounds like there is an issue with camera IR filter as it seems to be failing when it tries to make this change. You can try hard resetting the camera to see if that fixes the issue. You can also RMA the item if you think its an unbearable defect.
