Around 10% of motion detect .dav files that get sent to an ftp server are corrupt and cannot be read. It sends all trigger snapshots so the camera is still usable. The ethernet is wired. I adjusted all kinds of settings but they all result in corrupted files. I can't find a pattern as to what causes a corruption. The problem isn't the network as none of any of my other cameras ever sent a single corrupted video. I use ffplay and ffmpeg. These programs tell everything. Some videos are perfect with no errors, others throw all kinds of errors but still play, and 10% just won't play. I run this camera at 720p which is all I need so it isn't even using the full resolution.
This is bad enough I'm willing to upgrade firmware but I see nothing in the change logs that addresses this. My firmware version is 2.400.0000.15.R, build : 2016-01-24. The firmware site only lists IP3M-954E without the B at the end. Is that still the right firmware to download? Will the new firmware output .mp4 files like the other Amcrest I have?
Also, Foscam cameras used to brick if something went sideways with an upgrade. Did they fix that with these new cameras?
