IP3M-943W not working
I have an IP3M-943W camera that stopped working. I know how to reset the camera, I have a total of 5 of these. When you try to set it up with ether net or wifi the red light never changes to green. resetting doesn't do anything. Is there anything I can do to repair the camera ?

Hello and Welcome to the Forum
If I had to guess I would say it sounds like a Power supply issue. I would take a known good power supply and see if changing that makes it work. I mean maybe it was taken down from where you had it installed and tried a different one. I don't know so that is first thing that comes to mind..
After that if you test and there is nothing that is showing the camera has life (No IR or anything to say it is getting power) then the next thing would be to take it apart and using a multi meter test the Red and black wires going into the PCB for a connection from the power plug. If you find there is no connection between the power plug and the inside PCB then you will need to find out if the plug went bad or if the wire has gone open. Very rare but can happen you will want to also check that the connection is not shorted between the red and black because it could be that the wire has melted the cover inside and now the 2 power wires are shorting together.. So if you were to test continuity from lets say the red center pin and found connection on the black wire and then tested the outer ring and it was showing connection then in the wire harness it has shorted. Normally this don't happen and it will be fault by open wire most times caused by the power wire being to small for the current is it drawing.
For me however I have only had 1 Amcrest camera damaged at the wiring and that was from a tree limb falling on it. I mean I have some others that were damaged Board level nothing with the wiring. So it might be that the camera is dead. If that is the case then it would be hard to know what is wrong with it. There are some things one could look at. However without having a Electronics background with some tools it would be hard for someone with just off the shelf soldering iron to repair the cameras. If you have a Soldering Station I would say anything like a Weller 50 or better would be best option. Cheap Station might be asking for issues. Hakko would be better option with D888 or 951fx. If you have some better systems like JBC then my guess is there wouldn't be any questions on how to fix here..
IF it was in use as Wifi there would be different things to look at why it isn't working at all. But I would start with Power Supply issue..

Re: IP3M-943W not working
Thank you for the reply, the camera is getting power, the red light stays on, when I hold the reset down long enough the red and green lights will both flash several times, then both stay on steady for about a minute, the green light then goes out and the red light just stays on steady.
