IP3M-943 No Longer Recording via FTP

Post by jbryan10 »

I've had a IP3M-943 camera for several months now and have set it up to record to my Netgear NAS via FTP. It was working great for while, but ever since a power outage over a month ago, it hasn't been recording. I have confirmed all of the following information:

Reserved IP for camera
Reserved IP for NAS
Storage destination in camera setup matches reserved IP for NAS and folder name
Correct username and password for NAS set in camera setup
NAS properly connect to network
TCP/UDP ports set as 37777/37778 and router is forwarding 37770-37780 (Internal IP set as camera)
Also forwarding port 20-21 for FTP (Interal IP set as NAS)
Schedule set to record 24/7 and with motion detection

Is there something I'm missing? The one thing I haven't tried is a factory reset, but I guess that is my next option.

The 3/28/17 firmware broke the FTP function. It worked perfectly for me until that upgrade. Don't bother reloading or re-installing firmware, it won't work.

I contacted Tech Support who said that others had reported the same problem. I asked for a copy of the older firmware and they said it wasn't available. The developers are in Japan and there is no schedule for a fix.
