IP2M-852E no email attachment

Howdy,

Recently setting up my IP2M-852E to send email at a motion detection event. The email works fine. It sends email at any motion detection event but it does not include any snapshots. Tried several ways to set it and even restored the defaults on the camera to start fresh but nothing seems to work. I get emails like this:

Alarm Event: Motion Detect
Alarm Input Channel: 1
Alarm Start Time(D/M/Y H:M:S): 04/01/2021 21:30:28

Alarm Device Name: Camera1
Alarm Name:
IP Address: xxx.xxx.x.xxx

No attachments.

My settings are attached on the images attached. At the SMTP setting attachment is checked.

Any insights to make this work appreciated.

3 things I can think of.. 1 Under your Storage you will want to make sure that Snap shots are setup for the camera if they are not setup on aka turned on they will not send a one because the storage device was not setup to take a picture even though you have setup under Motion in your picture...

Second try and reduce the Quality of the photo in the image setup it will say like 5 or 6 as top 2 highest quality try it set to 4

Also need to make sure there is a MSD card that is in working order...

Per your info:
1. Snapshot set up as seen on the screencapture ... I am NOT sure on what you mean by storage set up
2. Reduced image quality to 1. Tried 3, 2 and 1
3. The IP2M-852E does not have a MSD

Email continues to send but no image attached.

Any other suggestions?

Sadly I might be wrong and this might be one of the cameras don't don't support a MSD slot for local camera storage and as such might be why there is no image pulling..

I know that if I have a camera on newer FW 2019 and 2020 if storage isn't installed I don't get any images because that is where the image is stored.. Maybe and I say maybe if it was connected to a FTP server for event storage it might work.. I have some other OLDER IP cameras that don't have any MSD slot but thought it was just because it was told old of cameras..

Interesting .... I also have 2 IP5M-1173E which is the 5MP version of the IP2M-852E units. They also do not have MSD slots but both of them send photo attachments with no issues.

Thoughts?

Hummm personally I am not sure.. I know there is a camera out one of Amcrest many cameras line up that is said only 1 IP camera don't send pictures and while this might have been BS as a way to just not deal with it I would say personally it should work..

However oddly found that the new FW cameras I own will not work sending pictures if no MSD is installed unless I have it fTP or sending from my NVR and oddly another issue that I don't remember being an issue with even new FW NVR if the camera isn't setup for snapshots the NVR won't send one where I don't remember that being an issue before the update.. I have since setup all my cameras to do snapshots so I don't have to jump hoops or run down rabbit holes looking to why something isn't working when I want to see a camera event while away.. ..

Yes I just found out that there are 2 cameras that don't do Snapshots for some reason this one the 852e and the 1026E is the second one...
