ip2m-846eb Am I the Only One?

I've searched for issues with this model camera (ip2m-846eb) with only one result. Certainly I can't be the only buyer
stuck with this beauty. Auto focus seems to have a mind of it's own even with auto focus OFF and Iris Off. Therefore
motion detection is activated constantly. Any help?

Hello tmack ,

If you are getting too many false detentions, please try increasing the threshold and increasing the sensitivity value. Also create zones to exclude constantly moving objects from being detected.

I've tried your suggestion without any difference. This camera autofocuses randomly regardless of the settings.

Can I just double check this advice. To reduce false detections increase the threshold (yes I get that) and INCREASE the sensitivity. That is counter-intuitive to my mind is it correct? I would have thought that you would need to reduce the sensitivity.

I understood Melvin's suggestion. At this point nothing has worked.
Went out with this mornings garbage.
