IP2M-841B or W what one?

Well I just thought I would share some of my Thoughts on the 841. I have both the White and the Black model. For some I have heard and seen in Videos that people comment on the Black as being plain and toyish looking. I personally don't think so. What I do know is that if your going to use this camera to monitor through a Window you might want to consider using the Black one. In the window facing West I had the White one at first in the window. Once the Sun made it over my house the Splash back aka Reflections was really bad and around 2pm until the sun went all the way down it was major camera view almost as if you were looking in a Mirror...

So I took the Black one and installed it in that window and I have not seen a Reflection once. I put the White one in a North facing window. I don't get much Mirror effects day time. However mid day of around 5 or 6pm until 6 or 7am I can clearly see a mild reflection of the Camera. I can see fine past that however it is there... While they are PTZ cameras and once I move the lens toward the West it becomes more reflective.

At this time of writing it is 915am EST. The camera displays a Very nice clear image as if it was outside. However yesterday even with lens in same position and outside being more over cast then clear there was on the left side of the view or FOV area there is a slight white ring where the center of the ring around the lens is. Slight tint of White just to the left of that area as well. It isn't as bad as the 6pm to 6am mirror effect.

Love these cameras and would recommend them to anyone looking for great cameras that work well. Just keep in mind that the NEW Firmware model does like to not return to place last viewed after a reboot all the time. In fact the last Reboot on Sunday that I have it set up to Reboot weekly. The camera not only lost the last viewed area. It also was no longer with memory of where the Preset were set. I hit Preset 1 and it took me to some strange place I would have no reason to park it there.... All others were also not in area I left them... This was not from someone Hacking and or even resetting the presets. I know this because I watched back up footage before the Reboot and no playing with camera so it was caused by the Reboot. While last week it worked just fine. It seems like a every other reboot issue. This time Ididn't reboot again I took it down for testing another issue and did a Factory Reset so I have setup again now back as it was before. So I will see if Factory reset helped at all over next couple of weeks.

White one LOOKS awesome and if you are going to use on shelf or inside under normal use it is great looking camera. Black one I prefer and under most all future buys they will be the Black....

What is your thoughts on your 841, or even any of the others that are designed like the 841...
