IP2M-841B and Google WiFi

Post by pmele57 »

Successfully setup my IP2M-841B with WiFi only, a static IP Address, and a different TCP Port. Everything works just fine as long as I am connected to my internal network.

Using Port Forwarding in order to see the camera when outside of my network the camera cannot be found. I confirmed the port is open and I am using dynamic DNS. Two other cameras, FOSCAM, work just fine with the same setup using different internal IP Addresses and ports, of course.

I do see one problem that is baffling. When I look at the camera using Amcrest Web View, the IP Address shows up, yet when I look at the IP Address within the internal network for the camera using the MAC Address there is no IP Address assigned.

I do feel that may be possibly causing the issues in that when accessing internally the camera can be found, but when coming in from the outside world it cannot be found since there is no IP Address assigned?

Any help, please?

Hello pmele57 ,

If you are using the Amcrest View pro app on the phone, make sure that the TCP port 37777 is forwarded and this is the port that you should use on the phone. From computer the the public ip ahould be followed by :http port. In this case you should forward both http and TCP ports. Also the http port should be changed to any other 4 digit number preferably and that port should be forwarded.
